If I Gave You $10,000 Monthly,

Would You Stuff It Into Your Mattress?

I promise you those subject lines make sense in context,

But I’ve also been known to have a favorite pastime of saying things out of context,

Shits hilarious.

Anyways, back in my sales agency days when I wanted to bridge the gap for why someone wanted to buy what I was selling in the first place, I’d ask them this:

“So you want to get to 10k per month, then what? I can’t imagine you’d just stuff it under your mattress?”

This got them to divulge all of the glamorous things in life, whether it was the shiny objects and vacations to Bali, or the altruistic individuals wanting to provide for those around them.

And so I ask myself, and my colleagues, what would we do with a large amount of cash?

Cool car, cool spot, pretty girl, done. That’s it.

Then what?

Everyone else will still be going to work. Everyone else will still have stuff going on during the day,

And you’ll be driving a car and staring at walls.

What I’m trying to say is that no amount of money is going to ever satisfy you, and money tends to grow so you’ll never have a finite amount of money.

So what really matters to you? What could you do that you couldn’t before besides afford to Door-Dash every meal?

Writing out a clear vision for what you want to be ONCE you’ve succeeded honestly is half the battle rather than the actual actions to be successful.

You always know where you’re going before you hop on a flight, right? Or step into your car?

Take a second to envision yourself where you want to be, and as long as you act in accordance with that vision, you’re already on your way already.

To infinity,

And beyond.
