Unbreakable Confidence Leads To Greatness,

Just got back from undoubtedly the most fun vacation of my entire life,

Shoutout Royal Caribbean cruises.

Booked it on a whim about 5 months ago, and I’m so glad I did.

And yes I’ll make this connect with sales and business, these emails are supposed to be valuable right?

First, gonna paint a brief picture,

Reso (vation) got chalked so TLDR:

4 dudes (who I went with),

1 room (1392 pull through).

We were already set up for failure but the disconnect with crashing and burning was a majority (3/4) of us come from a sales background and we’re unapologetically comical.

I’m talking boom box at the Solarium (adult pool) at 10 AM (be there),

I’m talking about starting pool wide chants for parents who thought they were going to have a family vacation,

But now have to finish their drink in 10 seconds or risk looking like the boats biggest loser.

Every nightly game show had one of us volunteering to lead the team and on multiple occasions making the entire arena of 500+ cruise goers cry laughing.

The Casino rued us coming in due to the shear volume of conversation and crowd we brought,

But loved stealing all my money (shoutout Wuhe dude absolutely robbed me).

Now, all of this probably sounds like us just being absolute social travesties, but in reality it came in due part to our past experience.

Especially during the early days in my sales career, I had to be capable of handling anything that came my way without breaking character.

Whether it was the no’s and objections,

People picking up the phone while driving or sitting on the display toilets at Home Depot (yes that happened),

Or even just not knowing what they were even on a call for and decided to mark a spot out of their day to talk to a stranger,

I had to learn and train to hold myself back from simply put hanging up the phone, looking out the window, and EXASPERATING:

“What the actual F$%#?!”

Because of my hardened sales skills and unbreakable confidence, I would get recognized across the entire boat.

“Aren’t you one of the 4 dudes 1 room guys?”

“Didn’t you ask me to adopt you yesterday?”

“Oh it’s you, I still need to get your Instagram to introduce you to my daughter!”

Confidence, perseverance and sheer likability is not a talent that comes installed with Windows 11.

It is a muscle that can be train and grown until you’re a walking personification of Sam Sulek.
